Sarah Ruiz-Smith, Child Case Manager:
In her three and a half years at The Salvation Army, Sarah has transformed the children's programs for those staying at our Emergency Women & Children's shelter. She has developed programs that allow children to learn and grow, and for families to interact with one another in healthy ways.
The resources Sarah is able to provide our clients, such as parenting tips and information about enrolling their children in school, consistently set them up for success.

Paige Bagwell joined The Salvation Army in 2008, fully embracing the organization's mission to help those less fortunate in the name of Jesus Christ. Her current role is Executive Director of Development.
Paige received her Bachelor's in Public Communication from Appalachian State University, and earned a Master's of Public Communication from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Her previous experience includes positions with local companies in human resources management, marketing management and safety. Paige grew up in Garner, North Carolina, and lives in Raleigh with her husband and daughter. She is an active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she teaches job training through the Jobs for Life curriculum.
Chris Kelley serves as Executive Director of The Salvation Army Community Center in Raleigh, overseeing all operations and fundraising. Chris began his career with the organization right after college as Program Director with The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club in Burlington, NC. In 1998 he relocated to Raleigh as the Athletic Director for The Salvation Army of Wake County Community Center, and then took over the position of Executive Director in 2001.
Originally from Glen Allen, VA, Chris moved to North Carolina to attend Elon College where he played on the men's basketball team and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Leisure/Sport Management. Chris and his wife Ann live in Raleigh and are blessed with two beautiful children. The family is very active in their church and Chris serves as Missions Director.
Christine Shaw Long has been passionately working with The Salvation Army of Wake County for eight years. In her current role as Director of Social Ministries, Christine manages the shelter for women with children and operates a number of crisis assistance programs open to the community.
Christine sits on the boards of the Triangle Disability Advocates and the North Carolina State University School of Social Work. Her previous board involvement includes Prevent Child Abuse, Circle of Parents and the Wake Housing and Homeless Coalition. Christine has also been instrumental in the planning and implementation of the 10-year plan to end homelessness in Wake County, and is involved with a local strategy group addressing human trafficking in North Carolina. She received her Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work degrees from East Carolina University.
Harold Clyburn serves as the Family Store Manager for The Salvation Army of Wake County. Harold's story is truly inspiring and beautifully reflects life-changing mission of The Salvation Army. After serving in the US Army for over a decade, Harold battled addiction and crime for many years, leading to eight years of incarceration. Upon his release in 2000, Harold found comfort, strength and renewed hope from The Salvation Army of Virginia Beach (VA). He began working for Family Store in Virginia as a helper and sorter, and swiftly worked his way up to Store Manager, joining the Raleigh store in December 2007.
Harold attributes The Salvation Army with saving his life and leading him back to the arms of the Lord. He rededicated his life to God and has made it a priority to help those struggling with addiction and hopelessness. He and his wife live in Raleigh and attend The Salvation Army Church in Wake County.
Haven Sink currently serves as the Director of Public Relations, striving to promote the mission of The Salvation Army in Wake County.
Although originally from the small town of Valdese, North Carolina, she settled in the Triangle area after graduating from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently lives in Raleigh with her husband, Jon.
