To support and strengthen The Salvation Army's efforts to work hand in hand with communities to improve the health, economic and spiritual conditions of the poor throughout the world.

This is the mission of The Salvation Army World Service Office (SAWSO). Our global vision is to create a world where people live in safe and sustainable communities in which differences are respected, basic needs are met, and all enjoy opportunities to learn, work and worship in freedom.

The Salvation Army is active in many third world countries, providing support for programs such as children’s hospitals and orphanages, HIV/Aids action centers, construction and operation of churches for spiritual programs, and Salvation Army Training Colleges.
