THE SALVATION ARMY AND UNITED AIRLINES – PARTNERS IN EMPLOYMENT
The Salvation Army of Wake County will open the doors to its Community Center at 902 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, N.C. 27604, to recruiters with Spherion Corporation, a recruitment outsourcing partner with United Airlines, for a 3-day job fair on July 25, 26 and 27. The positions being staffed are specific to the United Airlines hub at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Major Al Smith, Commanding Officer for The Salvation Army of Wake County, states, “The Salvation Army is excited to participate in any legitimate program that is aimed at improving the economic strength of individuals, families, and the entire Wake County area. As a means of driving our mission of service, our community assistance programs are aimed at helping those that are trying to help themselves. What better way to help a hurting person then by giving them the means to an end – and this is what United Airlines and Spherion Corporation are providing.”
All candidates are required to apply on-line through United's website, www.united.com/careers and then apply to the “Airport Operations and Contact Centers” in Raleigh. From there, they will need to take an on-line assessment test. Once they pass, Spherion can conduct a telephone screen with them. From there, Spherion will set up a time for them to have the face to face interview at The Salvation Army’s Wake County Community Center. Interested individuals are not to visit the Salvation Army Community Center until they have taken and passed the on-line test, had a phone interview, and scheduled an appointment with a Spherion recruiter.
