Award-winning photojournalist Linda Solomon, project sponsor General Motors, and The Salvation Army give homeless children the chance to truly share their hearts by taking pictures of their "Holiday Wish". Most children would wish for a new toy, bike, or maybe a video game, but these children wished for a bed to call their own, peace, and simply love.
The Salvation Army is thrilled to participate in the project and to spread hope to more children each year. Fourteen children between the ages of 5 and 15 participated in the program.
The project enables the children not only to share their world with their community, but also to have their eyes and minds opened and learn skills that will enrich their lives.
Thanks to the generosity of General Motors in providing the resources needed for the project, 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the children of the Salvation Army.
